Bubble Tea Blog Hop and Giveaway

Bubble tea- what fun!

I had my first taste of bubble tea just recently, and I really love the little balls at the bottom of the glass. Here’s my take on a bubble tea card, inspired by an image that I saw on google with the most amazing array of coloured teas.

This post is part of a fun blog hop in collaboration with Trinity Stamps and the Coffee Loving Cardmaker’s blog. You should have arrived here from the fun loving and super talented Erica’s blog.

If you leave comments along the blog hop, you have a chance to win a $25 gift card, PLUS a goodie bag of Trinity Stamps’ amazing embellishment mixes. As you can see in the photo above, there are some really fun embellishments in coming up!

I chose to use watercolour to reproduce the lovely bright colours of the bubble teas that I saw online. I used a mix of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (try saying that quickly three times!) and Altenew Watercolor Brush markers. I first stamped my cups, lids and straws in Versamark ink, and heat embossed them in white.

I stamped the cups form the Coffee with Character stamp set directly onto my card panel, and cut the lids and straws out of another piece of watercolour paper. I popped the lids and straws up with foam tape.

The final touch on the drinks was the bubbles! I used Trinity Stamps embellishments, of course! There are so many to choose from, and such a variety!

To make the sentiment strip, I used exactly the same colours as I had used in the cups, and let the colours blend along the strip. This meant I got a few new colours that weren’t in the original cups, but it came out super vibrant! “Let’s get craftea” is made from a mix of words in the Caffeinated Sentiments Stamp set, and I think it fits the card perfectly. This card is heading off to a friend of mine with an invitation to get together and make cards, so it’s exactly what I needed to say!

There is so much inspiration along this blog hop, I’ve had a sneak look at a few of the projects, and I’m blown away. Next on the list is the amazing Christine Burrilo-Kirch, and her amazingly elegant creation. I know you’re going to love it.

In case you get lost, I’ll leave the whole blog hop list at the bottom of this post.

Until next time, may your days be bright,

Blessings,

Donna
