I’m so excited for the new release from Trinity stamps. So much work has gone on behind the scenes. There are new stamps with dies, stencils and of course a bunch of new embellishments.
One reader will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Trinity Gift Card and an embellishment goodie bag, so hop along and leave comments along the way. If you are following along the hop, you will have come here from the lovely Courtney’s blog. She’s an amazing colourist and I know you’ll love her work.
Today I have for you this little cutie which I have made into a shaker card. To create this card I first ink blended a piece of card stock with a range of Distress Inks in different blues. I was careful to keep the colour light where the boy’s face and hands were to be, but I didn’t mask off the area. Once the card was ink blended, I splashed it with clean clear water to create raindrops. When it was dry, I then stamped this sweetie from Puddle Jumpers and the sentiment onto the card.
I coloured the image using Copic markers, and then constructed a shaker card with a big window to fit the whole scene. I adore this Iridescent Raindrop confetti mix. It looks like little raindrops, and because they aren’t thick like sequins, I could use a single layer of foam tape, and they still move around freely.
How much fun is this kid having? We all need a bit of that in life!!
Next on the hop is Emilie. I love her soft elegant style and I know you will too! If you get lost along the way, the whole list of blogs on the hop is listed below.
I hope you are as inspired as I am by all the great creations along the hop.
Until next time, may you find joy in the puddles!
Blessings,
Hop participants…
The falling raindrop embellishments is pure perfection on this card!
