Hello crafty friends, and also my wonderful not so crafty friends that just come to encourage me! ( I see you!) I have a card to share today that uses a single stamp to create multiple layers, decoupage style.

The hero of the card is the beautiful Brooke’s Bouquet Stamp set from Paper Rose Studio. I’ve stamped it several times, and Copic coloured it before layering it up. There’s a video too, should you choose to accept! Otherwise, read on for the details.

I started by making the background for the card using a card front from Paper Rose Studio. These fronts are slightly smaller than the card bases, so they’re really convenient. I masked the edges using washi tape, then ink blended using this brush (It’s available in the USA without a cap at a really good price) using Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral. Once I’d finished and removed the tape, the panel was cut using the second largest Stitched Rectangles Australia die.

I stamped the Brooke’s Bouquet Stamp twice onto white card, once in full, and on one I just stamped and coloured the main flower. On the next layer, I coloured the rest of the flowers, adding just a pink border to the main flower, so you wouldn’t see white if you looked from the side. I then cut out these layers and ran a black marker around the outside.

Finally, I laid all my layers down into my MISTI stamping tool, and stamped the image onto my background. I coloured the few small flowers that I hadn’t cut out, and added pink to the background areas of my cut image. I then layered up the main image and focus flower, using glue, then foam tape.
