Hello crafty friends. I have a little cutie for you today. She’s off on an adventure with her teddy. I’m feeling very much in need of both at the moment- adventure and teddy! I have been working hard at my studies, but I’m really ready to stop and take a breath. I Don’t think that will happen until June, but here’s hoping!

Here’s a look at how I made this card. There’s no video this time around, sorry. The background was made on watercolour paper. I used the Basket Weave stencil from Paper Rose Studio and pressed my clear Versamark ink through the holes onto the paper. The coverage wasn’t perfect, as the paper is bumpy and the holes were thin, but that doesn’t matter for today’s technique. I removed the stencil and sprinkled on white embossing powder, which I heat set.

The next step was watercolour powder. I used Pink and Main’s Water Gems. I love the bright colours and the fact that they have some shimmer in them. I sprinkled them on the embossed panel and then sprayed water on top with my water misting spray bottle. I then let this dry while I stamped and coloured the main image -Flowers for Teddy from Paper Rose .

Finally, I needed a sentiment. I used a happy birthday from the Bright Days Ahead Sentiments, which I think I’ve used for every card I’ve made this past month. I can’t stop using them!
I hope that you’re having a wonderful day, wherever you are.
Blessings,
Donna
