Christmas Ornaments cards

Hello crafty friends,

It’s so nice to have the time to craft as I’d like to. I’m finding that as my life is calming down, so are my cards. I have a set of four very demure, very mindful cards for you today! They are not quite white-on-white, but they all have a lot of quiet white space on them. The hero of these cards is the Hanging Christmas Ornaments Die from Paper Rose Studio. You can find it linked to shops in different countries at the bottom of this blog post.

I will write a description of the card making process below, but if you’re a more visual person, feel free to watch the video.

The first card is made with an ink blended background, although any patterned paper would be great behind this die, which cuts a panel from the centre of the cardstock. I added a sentiment at the centre bottom, from the Merry Christmas Sentiment sheets, adding a little stabilising strip behind it in the centre.

The second card reverses this, with the colour on the baubles, which I added with Copic markers. I’ve popped the whole panel up with foam tape this time, and used the die for the little silver tops of the ornaments, which is part of the set.

Next, we have my two favourite cards from the set. Firstly, this fun card with the addition of a snowman. When I glued the ornaments down, I left one unglued until after the snowman was in place, so I could glue it over the top of it. The sentiment is really catching the light in this photo, but it’s a lovely silver.

Finally, we have the most white-on-white of them all. I’ve cut extra baubles from white glitter paper, which seems to be sold out everywhere at the moment. I’ve added a link for the exact paper I’ve used, which was the only white glitter paper I could find. It’s a good one from Pink and Main, and it is sold in a mixed pack. The sentiment on this card is my favourite. It’s from a die set from Paper Rose called Merry Christmas Layered Metal Die, and I used only part of the die to make that gorgeous delicate Christmas word.

I hope this blog finds you well, and that you’re having a good day. Until next time, may your days have just enough sparkle!

Blessings,

Donna
