Hello crafty friends. Do you ever give cards as gifts? I’ve been making some sets of 6 or so cards to give as Christmas gifts this year. I hope the recipients aren’t reading this! This set is actually made from a Christmas die! Read on….

… or watch the video here. It’s a quick one!
This is what the die would look like if made up as a Christmas card. Very leaves and berries. Very Christmassy, very demure, very mindful. I used Copic markers to colour the elements, and then used the same red to colour the word ‘peace’ so that it would be a perfect match with the berries. Then, I got on with the gift set.

No matter how many cards you make, the process is the same. Pop out the pieces of the first panel, put double sided adhesive on the back. then cut the second colour, and, carefully align them. (Pop out a couple of leaves or berries so you can see through to the back panel – unless they were self-ejecting like mine!) Then simply push the pieces down onto the sticky below the bottom panel. The top panel then becomes your base. Add more adhesive behind it and repeat. The last card is made by doing a jigsaw of the pieces you saved from the first card!

The sentiments use vellum so I couldn’t use a wet glue. I used double sided tape, and there are a couple of ideas for this on the video. So, there you have a gift set of six cards, with a bonus Christmas card! I hope you like them. I’m off to make more. My family is not small!!!! Until next time, wishing you all the best of gifts.
Blessings
Donna
