Hello Crafty friends. I’m BACK!!! Another big burst of study done, and now I have a little lull in the studies, with only one unit this next six weeks. (oh, and moving to Japan at the end of that, so not busy at all, right???) Here’s what I’ve been making!

To celebrate, I have been making videos of my cardmaking again. Videos take longer to make than the cards themselves, so they’re often the first thing to go when I’m busy.

These cards are part of the Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge. The April Challenge is ‘Opposites Attract’, so you can make any card with opposites on it – big and small, opposite colours on the wheel, straight and curvy – anything really! There’s a chance to win a randomly drawn $50 gift voucher every month, so why not join in?

I went with opposite colours for my challenge, and also black and white on one of the cards. I used the Morning Glory Die to cut out the vine and flowers, then coloured them with my Copic markers. I then cut a trellis to act as a background. For this first card, I also used the Acanthus cling stamp ( my new favourite stamp, actually) for the background.

For the second card, I chose a high contrast black and white for the background. The sentiments for both cards came from the Togetherness Flower Bouquet stamp (which I see is nearly 70% off at the moment at Hero Arts!) I used my Copic markers in the same colours as the flowers to add some colour behind the sentiments.
