Hello crafty friends. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
I’ve been playing around with different folds in cards this week, and have made these three centre-opening cards. They make the most of the Birthday Fun range from Paper Rose Studio.

To make these cards, I cut my cardstock in half into a 4 1/4 by 11 inch piece.( This would work equally well with metric card too) Then, instead of scoring down the middle, I scored at the 1/4 and 3/4 points of the card. In my case this was this meant 2 3/4 inches from each end. I scored then folded these pieces so that they met in the middle.

I cut some of the fun papers in the Birthday Fun 6×6 pack and also the Birthday Fun Basics 6×6 pack to add colour to the two panels that meet in the middle of the card. I often choose the Basics packs over the main paper pack, just because they make such great backgrounds, but in this case, I used both.
I used the Embossed Die Cuts to choose my main images. I love how shiny they are. They are almost all from the regular pack, but I snuck a little tab onto the top card. This was a late decision, and mistakes were made peeling back the image to slide the tab under. This necessitated the stars, to hide the carnage underneath! No card left behind, folks!

The top panel was adhered to only the left side of the card. I think the middle photo shows this the most clearly. These cards were simple to make, but I think the fun centre opening makes them a little special, and I look forward to gifting these to friends.
That’s all for today. Until next time, may your days be full of fun and colour!
Blessings,
Donna
