Hello!
Life has been hectic, with lots of packing for our big move to live in Japan. People are starting to ask me whether I’m organised, and the truthful answer is, “I don’t know”. I’ve never done this before, and I don’t really know how big the job is, so I just keep packing! We will travel with only suitcases, so most of the job is getting ready for storage. Actually the hardest part is deciding what to keep and what to throw away, as not everything will fit into our storage space.
However, with the boys away at the football for the day, I decided that it would be OK to give myself the afternoon off and spend some time creating in my happy place.
I had a lot of fun playing with Distress Oxide inks, and the new-to-me stitched stars from My Favorite Things.
I smooshed the inks onto my craft mat, and used watercolour paper to pick the ink up, putting the greens onto one sheet, and the purples onto another. I’ve chosen these colours to fit in with My Favourite Things’ current colour challenge, which uses this lovely combination.
The sentiment is from and older MFT set called ‘On the Line’ and I heat embossed it in white.
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at this card. I’m making no promises about when I’ll next write- I’ll wait and see what life has in store for me. Come August, things will settle into our new normal, and I look forward to having time and space to craft regularly.
Until then, I will still put up some cards on Instagram, and keep packing!
Blessings,
Donna
Wow that’s a big move! What’s the occasion? Is it a forever move?
