Hello friends. I have another set of three cards for you today, using the Ella’s Garden Rose Bouquet stamp from Paper Rose Studio. I love that the one stamp set can make such a variety of cards.
For this first card, I have embossed the main image in gold, and coloured it using polychromos coloured pencils. I love the fact that pencils can be used over coloured paper with stunning results.
Next, I repeat stamped the main flower cluster and heat embossed it in white. I stamped the image once, then embossed it, and masked it before stamping the next image. This way, I had less stray powder, and I knew where the images were. I then blended a range of distress inks in pinks and purples onto the card, using ink blending brushes from Trinity Stamp Co. Because of the masking paper, and despite how careful I was, I ended up with some stray white specks of melted embossing powder, so I decided embrace the white dots, spatter the whole panel with white gouache and add some white embellishments. The sentiment is white heat embossed onto a deep grey panel, and the card itself is a soft grey colour.
Finally, I made a card that highlights the smaller images in the stamp set. I used small blocks and black copic safe ink to repeat stamp these onto a panel. I started with the larger images, and filled in the gaps with smaller and smaller images. I then coloured these with Copics and popped the sentiment up on a piece of coral card to match the base of my card.
This completes my set of three cards for today. I am going to get a lot of use out of this stamp set, I can tell!
Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
