Fall Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends.

I ‘m excited to be taking part in a Fall Blog Hop representing Pink and Main, mainly because I got to colour these cuties from Fall Friends again. This is actually one of my all time favourite stamp sets, and the first set that I ever coloured for Pink and Main, and the first stamp set I used when I moved to Japan. When I coloured it the first time, it was also the first time I had ever used coordinating dies. Postage to Australia plus a rubbish exchange rate- what can I say???

I stamped the images, with multiple leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black ink using my MISTI, and coloured them using my Copic Markers in all the autumn tones.

I cut them out with the matching dies, (yes, it’s still exciting for me, despite the number of passes through my die cutting machine for the leaves)

For the background, I used Distress Inks in Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon. I generously wet the watercolour paper. I tried the Fabriano Artistico extra white watercolour paper for the first time. I’m impressed. It held up to the amount of water (despite not being taped down) and the colours moved nicely. The paper is quite a nice bright white too.  I cut this panel using the Pink and Main Stitched Rectangles die 1. This cuts the panel to exactly standard card size.

I had toyed with the idea of having a strip of the paper From the Pumpkin Spice paper pad to ground the image, but in the end I decided I liked the whimsy of having the images floating below the sky. So, instead I used the paper on the inside of the card, and added a couple of extra images that I had coloured that didn’t fit onto the front of the card.

This completed the card. I hope that you are enjoying the blog hop, and that you are getting lots of inspiration! If you are interesting in seeing more of my cards, you can see them on my Instagram feed here

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
