Hello again. We’re just seeing the first signs of spring here in Tokyo, and it’s lovely! Today I have a card to share with you that has actually already been shared – on the Simon Says Stamp blog!! I was so nervous about making a card for such a big audience, but I’m really pleased with how this turned out in the end.

Actually, the stamp does all the work here. This stamp, called Milly’s Bouquet is from Paper Rose Studio and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I decided that such an elegant card needed a very grown up colour palette, so I went with pink, peach and brown. The colouring is the main feature of this card, and because I wanted a soft look, I used my colorless blender pen tip to tip with other colours to get the daintiest of shades. You can see how I did this in the video below:
The background is Neenah Desert Storm paper. I love this colour so much. There are lots of different Kraft coloured papers out there, many of them quite orange, but this one is a beautiful neutral wheat colour. I spattered white Gouache onto the paper before cutting it using Simon Says Stamp’s Stitched Rectangles die. Those of you who have been with me for a while know that I use stitched rectangle dies on almost every card I make!

The brown card I used for the background and sentiment strip is Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate. It really is chocolatey – a really rich brown! The sentiment was coloured using Copics. The colours are all listed below and on the video too. The copic ink that I use for colouring with Copics is Memento Tuxedo Black.

The flowers were cut out by hand, and then popped up with foam tape, and that completed the card.
I hope that you have enjoyed your visit with me, and that you’ll pop in again soon. If you’d like to see more of my cards, there are plenty more on my Instagram feed. I also have quite a few cards up on my Youtube Channel now, so feel free to have a look, if you like watching more than reading.
Stay safe, my crafty friends, and look out for each other. May your days be full of flowers,
Blessings
