Hello everybody. I’ve made it! Firstly an apology to anyone that has left lovely comments on my blog and YouTube. I’ve seen them and been encouraged by them, but haven’t been able to reply. As of this week, we’ve moved country, I’ve started a new job, we’ve moved again into our new unit, and I’ve finished one of my two remaining Master’s degree units. My new job teaching is going fine, but the combination of all of these things is A LOT!!!

So, onto the cards. I was in dire need of a mental health break last weekend, and these squirrels did the job!! I’m using the September Hero Arts Card Kit, and this one is so adorable. I was also really happy to get the pack with all the papers included in the kit, as I was only able to bring very minimal supplies with me to Japan, and my tools won out over paper.

I stamped and coloured so many squirrels, then set about putting them into cute little scenes. Perhaps it’s being in a new job in a new country, but I seemed to make a lot of “you’ve got this” cards, where the squirrels most certainly did not “got this” at all! These cards are all together in the video, which you can see below, along with just a couple of shots of where I’m living.
I tried to stick to only the supplies in the kit, adding only inks and markers, and my beloved stitched rectangle dies.

The cards ranged from super clean and simple…

to shaped cards…

To watercoloured backgrounds.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little break in my study and schoolwork, and I’ll be back soon. Only six weeks until all my study is finished, but you’ll see me before then!
Until next time, stay squirrelly, (but not as squirrelly as me – it’s exhausting!)
Blessings,
Donna
These are the supplies I used. You can click on the link to shop. Where available, I have used affiliate links, which means that I will receive a small commission at no cost to you. I’ve tried to link to companies in different countries, so you can save on postage costs. Thank you so much for your support.

Hi Donna
I love your work.
I am trying to change my email address from fran@dentures.com.au fran@dentures.com.au to f.e.spencer5@gmail.com f.e.spencer5@gmail.com but the WordPress site doesn’t recognise Donna is Playing paper, so I can’t do it.
Could you fix that for me please?

Hi Fran. I’m sorry to say that I don’t have permissions to do that, which is for your protection. If blog owners could muck with readers’ mail addresses, I think that would cause more problems than solutions. I think that if you try with donnaisplayingpaper, all one word, it might make a difference. I hope so.

Cute overload! Those squirrels are ADORABLE! I’ve never been much of a kit buyer, but that does look like quite a lovely kit.
