Hello Crafty friends. I have a very exciting card to share with you today. Paper Rose Studios and Simon Says Stamp have made a beautiful stamp set and dies, as part of Stamptember, and I’ve been lucky enough to get to play with it!

The way these collaborations work is that they do a single ‘run’ of each stamp, and don’t restock, so this Long Stem Flowers Stamp set  and  Long Stem Flowers Stamp and Die set are only available for a limited time, while supplies last. Many of the collab stamps sell out in just hours, so don’t wait if you want one.

I have used just the stamp set here, and cut the images out by hand, as I wanted to cut right next to the image for the look I was going for. I used Copic markers to do the colouring before I cut. One of the best things about cutting images so close? You can colour way outside the lines! Once I’d carefully cut the images, I used a Memento dual marker pen to draw around the sides of each image to hide the white card stock.

I also made the background using Copics, but this time it was the refills, blending them onto Yupo paper which I had cut into one inch strips. I used my heat gun to both dry the alcohol ink and to push it around on the paper to create the swirls and bubbles in the design. I will definitely be doing this again- I loved how they turned out!

I decided that I wanted a shaped sentiment, so guess what? More scissor work! The background for this sentiment is another Yupo panel that I cut down. I originally made panels in light and dark shades of both green and pink before making my final decision once the flowers were coloured and cut, so I had the peach coloured piece already on my desk.

The final step was to place the elements onto my card in a layout that was pleasing to me, and stick everything down. I used quite a bit of foam tape for lots of dimension.
