hello gnome

Hello Friends. As I sit here typing this, I’m enjoying a big Tokyo thunderstorm! After months of dry winter conditions, the rain is here, and it’s making my heart sing!

I have a super cute gnome card to share with you today. Look at this cutie, asleep in his little pot!

I stamped the image from Pink and Main’s Gnome Matter What stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured him with my Copic Markers. I used the matching dies to cut out the image. I especially appreciate dies when there is an internal piece or two that needs cutting – I’m never happy with my knife skills.

I have a video of the card making process here. I am enjoying making videos very much, and I hope you are enjoying watching them!

The background for this card was made using Pink and Main’s Cracked Stencil, and a mix of inks, (namely, the green that was left on my brush after I didn’t wash it, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide), blended on with the Ergonomic Blender Brush.

The sentiment is from the Big Vertical Greetings Set, also from Pink and Main. I used Dark Chocolate ink and Schoolhouse Red ink, both from Simon Says Stamp. I’ve cut it out using Pink and Main’a Large Sentiment Strip Dies. I’ve loved the thinner Sentiment Strip dies, and all the stamps that co-ordinate with them for a long time now, and I’m glad that the bigger set is here to compliment them.

The final step of the card was a smattering of Glitter Enamel Dots from the Thankful set.

I’ve made so many cards with this gnome stamp set, and I can’t see myself slowing down anytime soon! I think they’re so adorable, and I love the soft style of the images for colouring. If you’ve enjoyed my card and would like to see more, feel free to visit my Instagram feed here.

Until next time, stay safe everybody.

Blessings,

Donna
