But who on earth would you give a tractor card to???

This was the comment from my city living friend that had me giggling. For me, the answer is obvious – all the farmers in the family! Here’s the card…

This card was made by first stamping the Vintage Tractor image. It was tricky to choose an ink here – the inks that I have in my stash are either copic friendly, or waterproof, and dye inks such as those I used for the background will activate the copic friendly ink. So I chose Memento ink, and worked carefully, touching the image as little as possible with the blending brush.

I used a rainbow of coloured inks from Paper Rose Studio to give a sunset sky, blending over the lovely clouds on Paper Rose Studio’s Cloud Stencil. I worked my way up from the horizon, then went in with lawn ink, from the same ink set for the field. I made the appearance of the first stars by sprinkling on a little perfect pearls in the the colour ‘perfect pearls’. The tractor chassis is coloured with a single red Copic marker, and some grey lead pencil for the tyres and silver parts.

Finally, I cut the panel using the Paper Rose Stitched rectangles USA die, and added a sentiment to the bottom. So the card will be heading soon to a farmer!

Until next time, have fun!

Blessings,

Donna
