Hello my lovely friends. It’s Donna here, and I have good news for those who may have missed out on this beautiful butterfly last time it was released. I know that it sold out rather quickly, but Michelle from Pink and Main has it back in stock! I thought it would make a perfect Valentine’s Day card for my honey.

I used Watercolour paper for this card, and cut a piece to just smaller than a4 card size. I then sprinkled it with Watercolour pigment powders in reds and pinks. I used mostly ColorBurst with a bit of Brusho mixed in, but any pinks and reds would work here. I put just the smallest amount of powder ( I used the sharp end of a pin to pick it up) onto the dry paper, then sprayed it with a water bottle until I was happy with the amount of colour movement. I then stopped spraying and dried the paper with my heat tool. 

Next, I put the dry panel into my MISTI (a stamping platform is a great idea for bumpy watercolour paper as you often need multiple stampings to get a good image). I then stamped the STUNNING butterfly from the Dearest Friend Stamp set in Versafine black ink, and heat embossed it with clear Embossing Powder. I used Simon Says Stamp vellum for the sentiment strip, and the sentiment also comes from the Dearest Friend Stamp set. I stamped this in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white, before wrapping the ends around the back of my panel and sticking them down. I used Pink and Main’s 1/2 inch EZ tear tape, because the extra width helped flatten the watercolour panel.

I mounted my watercolour panel onto a piece of burgundy paper, and then onto a white card base. The final touch was some Falling for you Glitter Enamel dots here and there.
