getting the autumn jobs done (?)

Hello crafty friends. How are you all doing, I wonder? I’m studying hard – with only a couple of weeks until my big Japanese exam, I’m trying to put some long hours into the study. I’ve got one last autumn card for you before I move onto some more winter and Christmas cards, as well as New Year’s cards. Today I have a real sweetie from the Fall Snow Globe Scenes stamp set from Pink and Main, catching up on some late autumn chores. He’s hard at work with his wheelbarrow, but the wind has other ideas, as you can see!

I stamped and Copic coloured all the elements for this card first. As mentioned, I used the  Fall Snow Globe Scenes stamp set, and cut the images out with the matching Fall Snow Globe Scenes dies. There was quite a bit of die cutting, with all the tiny leaves for the shaker, but I like the effect that it gave in the end. Have a close look at the little cut outs between the fox and the wheelbarrow. Yay for not having to do that by hand! I love how the sky pokes through. Speaking of the sky, I made that by smooshing some pale blue ink, mixed with a little water onto a card base with a piece of scrap plastic. I just used regular card, and dried it off quickly before the water warped the card. I then cut the front panel from white card using two dies – Stitched Rectangles 1 and Wide Stitched Arches dies, and stamped the sentiment from the Fall Snow Globe Scene onto the bottom of the arch.

I then turned the card into a shaker card, using some scrap plastic from packaging for the window. I glued down the fox with his barrow, the pumpkins and a couple of leaves to make the scene, then added the rest of the leaves with some seed beads to make the shaker, saving just a couple of leaves to glue on the outside of the card.

I love this little scene. Autumn always makes me nostalgic, especially fallen leaves. I hope that you love it too and that you are having a wonderful day wherever you are. For more crafty inspiration, feel free to follow me on YouTube or Instagram, or my blog.

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
