Hello crafty friends. I have another set of four cards for you today. This time, instead of putting the card in an envelope, I’ve put the envelopes onto the cards!

There are so many ways to use envelopes on cards, and I have just four examples today, using three different envelope dies from Paper Rose Studio. This first one uses the Envelope Die 1, and I’ve added a surprise happy birthday sentiment inside the envelope. I wrote the Open Me by hand, starting with the middle letters and moving out to keep it central. The background of this and the next card was made using the Hand Stitching 2 embossing folder. It’s a traditional Japanese stitching pattern, and I love using it on so many of my cards. I love the way this die cuts a little heart shaped tab to keep the envelope closed.

The next card uses the Envelope die 2 which cuts a vertical envelope, although I’ve flipped it over and used it sideways on this card because you can’t see the opening. I cut the envelope from vellum and filled it with shaker mix. The other elements on this card are the same as the previous card, with the embossing folder and sentiment.

Next, I made a couple of cards with the Mini Envelope dies. I cut multiples of these from plain white card, and also from the bright fun prints on the Happy Stitches paper pack. I added some bright butterflies for a touch of whimsy, flying out of each of the envelopes.

The sentiments for these two cards come from the Rainbow Poppies Sentiments sheets.

These cards are fun to make, and so customisable with different bits inside each envelope.
