Hello crafty friends. I have a bit of a different post for you today. I’ve been foiling!. I’m very late to the party I know, but that’s me!! As many of you know, I’m on the design team for Pink and Main. I’ve been on the team for 5 years now, and Pink and Main is 9 years old, so that’s over half! Anyway, Pink and Main has released a Pink Mini Minc machine, and they’re having a blog and Instagram hop to celebrate. You can either visit my Instagram, or YouTube Channel to enter. Comments here on my blog are lovely, but they won’t earn an entry! You have until Sunday midnight est (USA) time to enter.

I had a blast learning to foil. The panels worked out so well, and it’s so quick! Why did I not know this before???Here’s the YouTube video for those who would like to see the whole process, and comment for a chance to win.
After colouring within the lines for several panels, I started to wonder “what would happen if…”, and that’s how I came to be putting the Inked Oasis Papers through the MINC. The foil sticks to just the places where the printing is thickest, giving a gorgeous two layered inky effect.

The card above uses regular Gold Cheerfoil, and it shines gold as well as being gold. For the card below, I used Gold Fairy Wings Cheerfoil, which looks gold but shines with a multitude of colours. In every photo I took, the foil showed different colours!

I also did a bunch of regular foiling, I really enjoyed taking the foil after the first run, and layering it onto Foilables Rainbow Toner Sheets. These toner printed sheets are in a mix of gorgeous bright colours, so you can see that in the example below, I added the green foil to a yellow sheet. These are going to double the use I get out of the foils, without having to use a black background.

I used ROYGBIV Cheerfoil for the mandala below, then…

applied the leftovers to some green Rainbow Toner Sheet for the card below.

There are so many card fronts that I made. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! I’ve included just a few photos, but there were so many more panels that I could have chosen to show you! I think they’ll appear slowly on Instagram over the next few weeks!

Most of the sentiments I used come from the Full Bloom Foilable Kit and the Make a Wish Foilable Kit, but there are so many toner printed sentiments I want to foil. We may have created a monster!!! I’ve left a sampling of products that I used below to give you a general idea, but I used others as well.
I hope you’ve joined some of my excitement at joining the foiling crowd, and I hope you win!! Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
