Hello crafty friends. Thank you for joining me today. I have a card for you today that shares one of my favourite things to colour – Cacti! This card is also up on the Pink and Main Blog, where I am a Design Team member.

The stamp that I used for this card is the Terrariums Stamp set from Pink and Main. I stamped these cacti onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card with Memento ink, which is my favorite ink and paper combo for Copic colouring. I used some of my favorite soft cool colors for these cacti, and then added a pop of black, because I can’t stop myself. I love these cacti, and I’ve made several cards with them.

I cut the images out with the matching dies. I’ve been cutting before I colour recently, as I’ve had a couple of times when the die has moved in my cutting machine, despite being taped down, and I don’t want to risk losing a coloured image.

I’ve included a picture of the Copics I used, as I always find this helpful, and it will be a good reference for me for later. I have lots of Ciao markers, so I made my own labels for the ends of them.

Once I had colored the images, I popped them up onto card, which I had cut with Pink and Main’s Stitched Rectangles 2 die set. Pink and Main have two sets that nest into each other, so I can always find the size I need. If you look at my cards ( here on Instagram is a good place to see them all), you’ll notice that I rarely make a card without using one of these dies.

I chose a soft green card, glued the stitched panel down, then glued down some 1/4 inch strips of black paper to represent the shelves. The terrariums were popped up with from tape and the card was done!
