Hello Crafty friends. I hope you’re staying safe and well. Here in Tokyo, we’re in the rainy season which is keeping everybody home and giving me a good excuse to hole up in my crafty space.

I have a new card to share with you today that is also up on the Pink and Main blog, where I’m a Design Team member. It’s been a tricky time for small craft companies, with supply chain disruptions and lockdowns, but I see that the new releases are starting to get back on track.

I was really excited when my Design Team package arrived today, as it held all kinds of concentric dies, IN BRIGHT PINK! I’m quite enjoying just looking at them. The dies come in Circles, A2 Rectangles, Squares, and lovely big A7 Rectangles for those who make bigger cards. I had a bit of time set aside for cardmaking, so I got straight to work. (And by work, obviously I mean play!)

I used inkblending with my Ergonomic Blender Brush to created the coloured panels, which I cut the circles from with the Layered circle dies. I taped two dies together, slightly offsetting them and using them as one die so that all the circles would be the same.

My original plan for this was a vertical card with pairs of circles, but once I laid the circles down, I found I was starting at three sets of goggling eyes!!! So, landscape it was!

The sentiment comes from the Just Because stamp set, which has sentiments like “you’re one of a kind” and “just for you” as well as many other friendship sentiments. I’ve cut it out with the Pink and Main Sentiment Strip Dies, which I use on almost every card I make these days!

I hope you are doing well. We’re still staying home, and only leaving the house to do essential shopping every few days. We have no car, so I can only buy what fits on my bike each time! Luckily we live near lots of small market gardens so my husband often comes home with gifts of beans or cabbages.
