Hi friends!

I’m really making the most of the fact that my Christmas is going to be a cold one, thanks to the current world situation. Normally we fly back to Australia for a warm Christmas with family, but it looks like we’ll be here in Japan this year, so I’m going to make as many snowy Christmas cards as I can!! (make lemonade and all that…)

These little cuties are from Pink and Main and, like the sentiment says, the name of the set is Christmouse. I love this type of small cutie. And the snow-mouse sealed the deal! Snowy cards is the way we’re going in 2020!

The background was ink blended using Faded Jeans and Tumbled glass Distress Oxides. The Stencil I used is called Roundabout stencil. I cut a frame using the Layered Rectangle dies. I have a neat trick for getting the frame on straight. I’ve made a video of the card, including a hack to lay frames on straight. You can see it here.

The mouse and his snow-mouse friend are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and I used Copics to colour the image. I’ve listed all the colours I’ve used on the screen for the video. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts White embossing powder. .

This is a simple card in many ways, but there are still three ‘layers’ of elements. Cards like these are always fun to make. I hope you’ve enjoyed it too.
