Hello Crafty friends. I have some simple cards with a fun twist to share with you. I was making cards with the Seaside Memories paper packs, and I really wanted ( but didn’t have) an ocean background. So I used tulips!

One of my favourite 3D embossing folders is the tulips from Paper Rose, and by turning them sideways, they lost all their tulip-ness, and just read as horizontal action, as you can see below.

This second card uses some of the sea creatures from the Seaside Memories pack, as well as a sentiment from the Bright Day ahead sentiment cut aparts. You can see the whole card below.

For the final card, I used the Tufted Elegance embossing folder. I usually use this one vertically too, but have flipped it for today’s card. All of the 3d embossed backgrounds were made from watercolour cardstock which I first coloured by dropping pale aqua watercolour paint onto the well wetted card. Once it was dry, I gave it a light spray, and then ran it through with the embossing folder.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards. I look forward to sharing more soon.
Until next time, may your seas be calm.
Blessings,
Donna
